Mini ASOS Haul

Hello everyone! I know that it's been a while since I last updated my blog, but just as I was getting used to my new schedule, I got hit hard with a lot of issues/problems...etc. I'm still trying to deal with it all and hope things get back to normal soon. I've been feeling really bad about not updating my blog because there are soo many things I want to blog about!

Anyway, I just quickly want to share with you all a couple of things I purchased about a week ago from ASOS. I am absolutely in love with that website! However, this is the first time I have ordered anything from there...everything I want is a little pricy for me right now, especially since I am trying to limit how much I spend on things I don't really need...BUT this Saturday is my boyfriend's sister's sweet sixteen so I thought it was a good excuse to buy something I really wanted. This is the dress I picked:
Aqua Scuba One Shoulder Frill Dress-$134.80I normally wouldn't spend this much on a dress, but since it is a special occasion...why not? ;o] I absolutely love the color because it's simple and doesn't take away too much attention from the detail on the shoulder. I also think it's conservative enough to wear around family without looking too covered up.
Barry M Wand Lip Gloss in Toffee-$7.16I've never tried any Barry M products so I am very excited to try this lip gloss because I've heard so many good things about it!

The order went out on the 8th and I still haven't received anything, so I am hoping it gets here soon! Have any of you ever ordered from this website? How was your experience with the company?

HAUL: Forever 21

Hey guys! So here are some pictures of a few things I ordered from Forever 21 yesterday. I think they are all great summer picks and I will explain why. Check out their website if you're interested in buying these or a Forever 21 store.

I'm a HUGE fan of connector rings. When I wear jewelry, I like to keep it simple and focus on one staple piece. Connector rings are a great way to draw attention to your jewelry without overdoing it.

I really feel like spring and summer are the best seasons to show off jewelry because you're not covered up in layers (unless you live somewhere where it's warm year round). These pieces really stood out to me because of the color palette and detail. I'm not a huge fan of glitter but I do like things that draw attention in a very interesting way...hence my attraction to the rhinestones.

I don't have a lot of silver earrings...or jewelry in general...I always tend to go for the gold. (: The hoops are a must have--maybe not necessarily that pair, but every girl needs a nice set of silver (and gold) hoops.

I've been eyeing these earrings forever and finally decided to buy them. (:

Headbands are a great way to go from plain to fab in a very simple way and dress your hair up. When worn right, they make it seem like you spent a lot of time on your hair when you really didn't. Let's face it, bows and animal print are going to stay around for a while...when you mix it up with an interesting outfit you'll bring a fresh way of wearing it without looking too "been there done that."

I absolutely LOVE wearing skirts and even though you can always dress them down, they sometimes may seem too short for a daytime look. An alternative to this is a skort. This pair looks like a skirt from the front and in the back they show that they are clearly shorts, making it a little more appropriate and comfortable for a day or night look.

And finally my absolute summer favorite of all time...ROMPERS!! I love them love them love them. They are super easy to dress up or down, very fresh and a light wear for summer.

CREATE THAT LOOK: Sarah Jessica Parker

I never really considered looking at what celebrities wore as a source of inspiration for a look I wanted to achieve but the more interested I became in fashion, the more I began to look.

This time, I am focusing on SPJ. In Sex and the City (the movie) there is a scene where Carrie is wearing a short pink dress with a studded belt over it and a chain of pearls.


As I was browsing the Forever 21 website the other day (of course) I noticed that a model on the homepage was wearing a dress similar to this one. I clicked on the ad and it sent me to another page...on that page I found the dress.


This dress is not exactly the same but very similar and less than $20! You can find a studded belt and a strand of (faux) pearls almost anywhere (Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, H&M, etc.).
As shown on the model, this dress can also be used with a pair of tights for Fall/Winter.
