Lipstick Ready Lips!

Tsk tsk! I've been such a horrible blogger! Luckily my schedule is opening up and I will be able to blog more often. Yay! I have soo many things I want to share with you all and I will start with a few ways and products I have used to exfoliate my lips.

I like to exfoliate my lips at night to get rid of the dead skin that accumulated throughout the day and so that my lips are ready for application the next day.

The Toothbrush Method
(image from google search)

This is my least favorite way to exfoliate my lips. I feel like I have to scrub really hard to see results. The more often you use the toothbrush the easier it will be to use since the bristles will soften up...I just don't have the patience. :o/

The Sugar Method
(image from google search)

When I run out of my regular scrub I dab some vaseline on my lips and use sugar to scrub my lips until they are smooth. This is probably the most affordable way to do it if you don't feel like spending more money on a smaller amount of product.

LUSH Mint Julips Lip Scrub

This is the first LUSH Lip Scrub I've tried. I think the amount of product you get for the price is great and the smell is amazing (a combo between peppermint & chocolate)...but to be honest I think the Sugar Method works the same.

Bath & Body Works Mentha Lip Buffer

And finally my favorite lip scrub. I used to use this a lot in high school and then decided to try new products, but I am glad that I am using it again because it works the best for me! I have a lot of control over how much product I use and the formula is wonderful.

I'm really interested in knowing what products/methods you use to exfoliate your lips. (: Hope everyone is having a great summer! Stay tuned for my E.L.F. Haul/Review!

  1. Great post! I feel you, girl! I wish I had more time to blog...I personally have to constantly exfoliate for my lipsticks to look nice. I'll have to try out that CO Bigelow lip scrub since I love their mint lip glosses. Thanks for sharing : )

  4. @thestartsteam-Yeah it's definitely hard to find time with a full schedule, but I LOVE to do it when I get a chance.

@Princess Feef-Vaseline is definitely a life saver for my lips!!

@Drea.-I've been using vaseline for years but when it comes to scrubs the Bath & Body Works one helps a lot too. Let me know if you try any of these out. (:

  5. great post! unfortunately where i live there aren't many lip scrubs that i can buy, so i'll have to stick to sugar+vaseline/olive oil.
one thing i use that helps me keep my lips in perfect condition is the Neosporine Lip Treatment. i use it at night to keep my lips moisturized.
